Twenty States Try to Kill Obamacare for Good

A 20-state coalition sued the federal government late Monday, saying the end of the Obamacare individual mandate in the December tax cut renders the law unconstitutional. The lawsuit puts the Trump administration in the uncomfortable position of defending a law that it spent all of 2017 unsuccessfully trying to repeal in Congress.

Pennsylvania Claims Trump Overstepped on Birth Control Exemption

Attorneys for Pennsylvania told a federal judge Thursday that if she fails to overturn a Trump administration rule easing birth control coverage mandates in the federal health care law, more than 2.5 million women in the Commonwealth will pay more for birth control and other forms of contraception.

19 AGs Seek Judicial Order to Keep Health Care Subsidies Coming

Eighteen states on Wednesday asked a federal judge for a nationwide emergency restraining order to stop President Trump from ending Affordable Care Act subsidies that reduce healthcare costs for lower-income Americans. U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria will hear arguments Monday on the request for a restraining order.
