Cain Burdeau is the EU correspondent for Courthouse News Service. Previously, he worked for the Associated Press in New Orleans where he led coverage of Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill. He is the recipient of several awards, including a George Polk award for his work with the AP covering the BP oil spill. He lives in the Sicilian countryside with his family.
