Named after the city’s first postmaster, the Schnebly Hill Formation is a thin-layer of sandstone that bestows Sedona, Arizona, with its famous orange to red rocks. Schnebly’s wife, Amanda Miller, named her daughter Sedona because “it sounded pretty.” The postmaster in turn gave the name to the city. Taken from outside the Chapel of the Holy Cross, this picture shows the Two Nuns rocks. (Courthouse News photo / Chris Marshall)
