Mexico’s $10B gun lawsuit revived

BOSTON — The First Circuit ruled that Mexico’s $10 billion lawsuit against gun manufacturers for encouraging illegal weapons trafficking across the border may proceed. The decision reverses that of a Massachusetts federal court, which tossed the suit because it said manufacturers are shielded by the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, but the Circuit found that Mexico’s suit is exempt.
