Lost in Yellowstone

DENVER — A man who had to be rescued by helicopter after getting lost in Yellowstone National Park while searching for buried treasure was properly convicted of misdemeanor disorderly conduct, the 10th Circuit ruled. The judge “emphasized the obviousness of the risk of leaving a marked trail in rugged wilderness late in the day, without food or shelter, and with the knowledge that the area is populated by bears.”
