CLAYTON, Mo. (CN) - Two golfers viciously attacked two others during a round, impaling one victim's arm with a broken golf club, the men claim in court.
Corné and Abraham Prozesky sued Tony Young, Gerald Harsley and the Normandie Park Gold Course, in St. Louis County Court.
The Prozeskys claims that Young and Harsley, playing behind them on June 16, 2011, "began harassing the threatening" them.
They claim the defendants "initiated an unprovoked physical attack," and that "Young broke a golf club and impaled it in Corné's arm."
Both men say they were injured in the unprovoked attack.
They say they called Normandie and informed them of the threats before they were attacked, and the club agreed to keep them safe from Young and Harsley, but failed to do so.
The Prozeskys seek actual and punitive damages for assault and battery, negligence and premises liability. They are represented by Kristin Bourgeois, with Sandberg, Phoenix & von Gontard in St. Louis.
