WASHINGTON (CN) — After falling in her office at the Supreme Court the previous evening, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized Thursday and found to have fractured three ribs.
In a press release this morning, the court explained that 85-year-old Ginsburg was admitted for observation and treatment at George Washington University Hospital in Washington after experiencing discomfort overnight.
A survivor of both colorectal and pancreatic cancer, Ginsburg also has undergone heart surgery and broke two ribs in a fall in 2012.
