Former Court Clerk|Bound Over for Trial

(CN) - A former clerk for the McDonald County, Mo., prosecutor's office will stand trial on accusations she told people she had cancer and accepted $10,000 in donations for treatment, though she is healthy.

Associate Judge John LePage bound over for trial Tammy Young, 42, after a preliminary hearing, the Joplin Globe reported. She has been charged with two felony counts of stealing.

Young worked for the prosecutor's office from June 2008 until this summer. Pineville is 190 miles south of Kansas City.
