DALLAS — An appeals court in Texas reversed a ruling in favor of former NFL football player Deion Sanders on his defamation claim against his ex-wife over statements she allegedly made indicating that Sanders had abused her and their children. The court found there are fact issues as to whether his former wife’s statements were believed and whether Sanders’ reputation was affected by them.
