ST. LOUIS (CN) - A prominent class-action attorney says his former partners have cheated him out of more than $6 million. Rex Carr is seeking $6.897 million from Korein Tillery LLC and an accounting of Korein's financial records in city court.
Carr was once a member of Carr Korein Tillery until the firm dissolved in 2003. After the dissolution, other members of the firm formed Korein Tillery, the suit states.
Carr says the partners agreed to divide Carr Korein Tillery's remaining cases and that fees generated would be paid through Korein Tillery. But Carr claims Korein Tillery has refused to turn over the $6.897 million that he generated in fees from a $42 million class action settlement against IBM and he says Korein Tillery has received $5 million in other fees, some of which Carr believes he is entitled to.
Carr is represented by James Holloran.
