MANHATTAN (CN) - A patient claims a gynecologist at Kings County Hospital sexually assaulted her "while she was restrained in stirrups." She claims the hospital negligently left her alone and undressed with Dr. Charles Bowers, "making a situation where the doctor could sexually abuse, sodomize and then rape plaintiff instead of property treating and caring for (her)."
The woman sued Kings County Hospital, New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation Inc., the City of New York, and Charles H. Bowers, M.D.
She claims she "was sexually assaulted, attacked and injured by Dr. Charles Bowers, M.D., while he was her gynecologist performing a medical examination and the plaintiff's movements were restricted while she was restrained in stirrups."
She is represented in New York County Court by Jeffrey Lessoff.
