MANHATTAN — A federal court in New York dismissed putative class action claims that Apple misled consumers about iPhone water resistance. Apple’s warranty “expressly disclaims coverage for damage due to ‘liquid contact,’” and the plaintiffs didn’t prove Apple knew its phones weren’t as water resistant as advertised, the court ruled.
