Voter ID in Idaho

BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Supreme Court upheld new laws narrowing the types of identification accepted at polls. Social security numbers and student IDs may be ruled out as valid documents for reasons rationally related to election integrity; further, students and young people are not a protected class for equal protection purposes. Students may complete an affidavit in lieu of their student IDs.
