U.S. Navy Isn’t Liable For Extra Soil Cleanup Costs

WASHINGTON (CN) - The U.S. Navy does not owe International Technology Corp. more than $1 million in damages for the extra costs incurred by a subcontractor hired to clean up contaminated soil at a Navy site in Stockton, Calif., the Federal Circuit ruled.
