WASHINGTON (CN) - The United States has filed a federal antitrust complaint to block Thomson Corp.'s proposed $17.2 billion acquisition of Reuters Group. Uncle Sam says the acquisition will reduce competition by combining two of the world's three largest vendors and distributors of financial data, including "fundamentals data, earnings estimates data, and aftermarket research reports".
