WASHINGTON (CN) - L-3 Communication (Titan Group) hired an Iraqi Chaldean Christian to work for the U.S. Army as a translator in Kuwait, then the Army and L-3 fired him upon his arrival there and tried to recruit him to work as a spy in Iraq, Mark Shallal claims in Federal Court.
He claims L-3/Titan held him in involuntary servitude, charged Uncle Sam for hazard pay but did not pay it to him, ordered him to lie on clearance forms, delayed submitting the forms to the government, held him "and hundreds of others like him in a state of servitude," and otherwise defrauded him, breached contract, and trafficked in humans.
