SEATTLE (CN) - A "musical prodigy" suffered a ruptured eardrum when his Microsoft Zune music player malfunctioned, sending a jolt of electricity through the earbuds, Joel Geddis claims in King County Court. Another plaintiff says his ears were injured by another Zune player.
Geddis says he was a student at the UCLA School of Music and had composed scores for film and television before the injury stalled his career.
Shaun Legacy claims he received similar injuries from his Zune player, leaving him with tinnitus, hearing loss and "debilitating headaches."
They also sued Microsoft, Toshiba, Freescale Semiconductor and Wolfson Microelectronics. They are represented by Kevin Coluccio with Stritmatter Kessler.
