Tribal Status

The U.S. Department of Interior properly ruled that 18 people were ineligible to organize as a tribe of “Ukiah Valley Pomo Indians,” the Ninth Circuit ruled. The department determined that the plaintiffs are a “subset of the Indians for whom the Pinoleville Rancheria was set aside.”
