WASHINGTON (CN) - Major Airlines will not be required to publish flight delay information on their Web sites until June 14.
The airline industry requested 90 additional days to comply with the Department of Transportation requirement because of the extensive changes carriers have to make to their reporting systems.
In December, the department published rules in response to airlines keeping passengers on planes through lengthy delays, the high incidence of late flights, and other consumer problems. The original compliance deadline was April 29.
