Toy Cost Dog His Tongue, Man Says

MANHATTAN (CN) - A man says his dog's tongue had to be amputated after it was caught in Four Paws Products' unsafe "Rough & Rugged Pimple Ball With Bell." He claims Four Paws kept selling the ball after learning that dogs were being hurt and killed by it. In an undated message on its Web site, Four Paws says it has recalled the toy.

Daniel Rechelbacher also sued Petland Discounts, where he bought the toy. He is represented by Derek Smith in New York County Court.
