Giuliani, Graham subpoenaed in Georgia election interference probe

The Georgia prosecutor investigating whether former President Donald Trump and his allies attempted to interfere with the state’s 2020 election results filed subpoenas Tuesday for U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and others to testify before a special grand jury.

Sixth Circuit lifts injunction against Biden deportation policy

A memo prioritizing the deportation of the most dangerous illegal aliens from the United States does not inflict direct harm upon states and is not a reviewable agency action, the Sixth Circuit ruled Tuesday.

Suspected gunman in Chicago-area shooting acquired weapon legally, authorities say

The mayor of the Chicago suburb rocked by a mass shooting at a Fourth of July parade said Tuesday morning she believes the suspected gunman acquired his weapon legally. A few hours later, local police confirmed the “high-powered rifle” believed to have been used in the attack was legal.

Mississippi judge hears challenge to abortion trigger law

The fate of Mississippi’s trigger ban on abortions is in the hands of a state judge who heard arguments Tuesday morning that the last abortion clinic in the state should remain open pursuant to a 24-year-old ruling finding the Mississippi Constitution provides an implied right to abortion.

Russia occupies all of Luhansk, advances in Donbas grow

Having pushed Ukrainian troops out of the eastern city of Lysychansk, Russian forces were in control Tuesday of the entire eastern region of Luhansk and were continuing their assaults with the objective of seizing the rest of Donbas.
