NEW ORLEANS — The Fifth Circuit upheld the dismissal of Texas voters’ lawsuit challenging the state’s use of electronic voting machines. Their generalized grievance, that all voters’ votes are made vulnerable by such machines, does not confer standing. While some of the suing voters ran for office, and one holds an office, the complaint contains no candidate-specific injuries that could offer them standing.
