FORT WORTH, Texas (CN) – Pro football commentator and former star quarterback Terry Bradshaw has sued California clothier RWC Fashion Apparel in Tarrant County Court, claiming it never paid him for using his likeness to promote its products online.
RWC’s site displayed a video clip of Bradshaw’s September 2007 appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” sporting RWC apparel.
Bradshaw also accuses company owner Randy Willard of overcharging his American Express card for custom clothing and other costs without telling him.
Bradshaw seeks a temporary restraining order forcing RWC Fashion Apparel to remove his name and image from its site. He also demands $509,000 in actual and punitive damages to cover the credit-card charges, and $100,000 for the use of his likeness.
The former star quarterback claims he has worked with Willard and his company since 2006.
