ANCHORAGE (CN) - Republican Senate candidate Joe Miller sued Lt. Gov. Craig Campbell in Federal Court, claiming Alaska is using a "highly subjective approach" to count write-in ballots, including accepting misspellings of incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski's name.
Miller, a Tea Party favorite, defeated Murkowski in the Republican primary. Murkowski then ran as a write-in candidate.
Alaska's is the only U.S. Senate race not yet decided. Early, or late, returns appeared to show that Murkowski is winning, with 41 percent of returns registered to "write-in candidates," and 34 percent for Miller.
