HOUSTON — A federal court in Texas ruled in favor of a school district in a suit brought by a mother whose special needs child had an emotional breakdown, tried to leave school, and was tased by a school police officer, which resulted in prolonged absenteeism. The court found the district tried to address the absenteeism but “was limited by the lack of responses” from the mother and her failure to get information from her son’s health care providers.
