Take Two Sues Chicago Transit Authority|For Removing ‘Grand Theft Auto’ Ads

MANHATTAN (CN) – Take Two Interactive Software claims in Federal Court that the Chicago Transit Authority and Titan Outdoor unconstitutionally refuse to advertise its video game, “Grand Theft Auto IV” on the CTA system, despite a binding contract to do so.

Take Two describes its much-criticized video game, in which players steal cars and shoot policemen, as “an entirely lawful mainstream entertainment product enjoyed by millions of Americans.”
It claims the defendants removed the ads from CTA property “just as they started to appear, despite Take Two’s binding advertising contract with CTA’s authorized sales agent, defendant Titan Outdoor LLC”.
