WASHINGTON — A federal court in Washington ruled Steve Bannon cannot raise an “advice-of-counsel” defense against contempt charges for defying a subpoena asking him to appear and produce documents to the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
