PHILADELPHIA — A federal court in Pennsylvania denied a spa’s motion for summary judgment after a licensed massage therapist sued it for allegedly firing her for requesting a cart she could lean on during massages to accommodate her injured ankle. The spa says she got into a verbal altercation with another spa employee, who she was romantically linked to, and who brandished a gun and threatened her life at work.
