NASHVILLE - The daughter of songwriter Dottie Rambo sued companies from which Rambo leased the tour bus that crashed and killed her last May. Joyce Reba "Dottie" Rambo, known as the "Queen of Gospel Music," wrote more than 2,500 songs, which were recorded by Elvis Presley, Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton and others.
Rambo's daughter, Reba Rambo-McGuire, sued Pyramid Coach, which leased the bus, and its subsidiary, DC Investments Leasing LLC. She also sued James Meadows, whom she says was driving the bus on Interstate 44 outside of Mt. Vernon, Mo., when it crashed at 2:19 a.m. on May 11, 2008.
Rambo's hits included "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need" and "We Shall Behold Him." She was on the way to a Mother's Day performance in Texas.
Rambo's daughter is represented by Kurt Beasley in Davidson County Court of Brentwood, Tenn.
