SAN DIEGO (CN) - A Manhattan Beach attorney on Wednesday was accused of embezzling more than $250,000 from his former employer, MWRC Internet Sales, federal prosecutors said.
James R. Miller, 65, appeared in Los Angeles County Magistrate Court on Wednesday, on a five-count indictment accusing him of writing checks to himself from a company account "to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars," the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Miller was released on $50,000 bond, pending his Nov. 11 criminal trial.
