Shreveport police immunity

WASHINGTON — Though the Supreme Court declined Monday to second-guess whether immunity shields police in Shreveport, Louisiana, who kicked and beat a Black man driving with broken brake lights, Justice Sonia Sotomayor noted the Fifth Circuit's reversal "appears highly questionable," echoing a May 2021 dissenting opinion.
