GREENBELT, Md. — A federal court in Maryland denied a couple’s request for a third chance to allege wrongful death claims against a county school board after their daughter’s ex-boyfriend shot and killed her at school. They could not show that school staff’s knowledge of the boy’s past behavior led directly to their daughter’s death, and they have qualified immunity on the couple’s claims. They may refile in state court.
