Safe Release Program

SAN DIEGO — A federal court in California dismissed San Diego County’s suit against the federal government for ending a “safe release” program, which helped asylum seekers travel to sponsors across the country. The county lacks standing to pursue its claims under the Administrative Procedures Act and the county failed to state a due process claim under a “legally cognizable theory.”
