RPI settlement approved

ALBANY, N.Y. — A federal court in New York granted final approval to the settlement of a class action against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which allegedly failed to reimburse students for on-campus services after converting to online-only teaching in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The full settlement amount was not disclosed, but the class representatives will each receive $10,000 and class counsel will receive $2.16 million in attorney fees.
