Rhode Island court finds sex offender restrictions vague

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A federal court in Rhode Island found in favor of registered sex offenders who challenged the constitutionality of a state law prohibiting certain offenders from living within 1,000 feet of a school. The court found the restrictions unconstitutionally vague, for example in where the distance is to be measured from.
