Rent Increase

An Ohio couple claims the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland more than quadrupled their rent and effectively evicted them, despite agreeing to reduced rent because the couple spent $76,000 of their own money to renovate the leased house.

CLEVELAND – An Ohio couple claims the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland more than quadrupled their rent and effectively evicted them, despite agreeing to reduced rent because the couple spent $76,000 of their own money to renovate the leased house.

The plaintiffs are Joseph Giangrande and Patricia Nowacki- Giangrande, and the defendants are the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, Rev. Richard Lennon, St. Rocco Church and Fr. James Mayer.
