WASHINGTON (CN) - Ralph Nader has sued the Democratic National Committee, Sen. John Kerry, the Service Employees International Union and others, claiming they conspired to prevent him and Peter Camejo from running for president and vice president in 2004 because they blamed Nader for costing Democrats the 2000 presidential election. Nader's 73-page federal lawsuit demands punitive damages for deprivation of his constitutional rights, claiming Democrats "launch(ed) a massive, nationwide unlawful assault on his candidacy, using unfounded litigation to harass, obstruct and drain his campaign of resources, deny him ballot access and effectively prevent him from running for public office."
