COLUMBIA, S.C. (CN) – Roger Singleton might think twice before giving his sister a pet raccoon. The South Carolina Court of Appeals threw out Singleton’s negligence claim for the raccoon bite he received while trying to catch the critter after it bit his sister, severing an artery and nerve. “By Singleton’s own admission, his actions on the day of the incident were ‘pretty stupid,'” Judge Anderson wrote.
