WILMINGTON, Del. (CN) - R.H. Donnelley Corp., which publishes 600 directories, including the Yellow Pages, has filed for bankruptcy, listing $11.9 billion in assets and $12.9 billion in debts. Nineteen affiliates also filed, attributing their problems to reduced sales due to the recession and competition from the Internet.
Donnelley's chief creditors are the Bank of New York, which it owes $3.6 billion, and U.S. Bank, $2.5 billion.
