Protest death

SEATTLE — A federal court in Washington dismissed a mother’s suit against the city of Seattle arising from the death of her son, who was shot and killed while visiting the site of the Capitol Hill Organized Protest last year. The mother claimed the city endangered her son by abandoning a precinct, providing lighting and toilets to protesters, and modifying first responder protocols.
