Professors fight ban on abortion talk

BOISE, Idaho — University professors and teachers say the state's prohibition on spending any public funds that “promote abortion” or “counsel in favor of abortion” violates their First and 14th Amendment rights. Teachers claim they are put in a straitjacket by the No Public Funds for Abortion Act, which prevents them from discussing abortion in their classrooms.
