NEWARK (CN) - Three medical companies conspired to fix prices on blood reagents and related medical equipment, Warren General Hospital claims in a federal class action. It sued Immucor, Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, and Johnson and Johnson Health Care Systems.
A reagent is a substance used to detect, measure, examine or produce other substances. The defendants sell "hundreds of millions of dollars worth of blood reagents" every year in the United States. The class period began on Jan. 1, 2000, according to the complaint.
Plaintiffs' lead counsel is Lisa Rodriguez with Trujillo Rodriguez & Richards of Haddonfield, N.J.
