Political Reform Act

SAN FRANCISCO — The California Supreme Court ruled that parties sued under the Political Reform Act, which regulates political campaigns and lobbying, face a higher bar than plaintiffs do to recover attorney fees. They must show the suit was “frivolous, unreasonable or without foundation,” else the law’s private enforcement function would be chilled.
