WASHINGTON (CN) - The Defense Department plans to use examples from case law in rule changes meant to tighten existing requirements for organizational conflicts of interest regarding major weapons system contracts.
The examples in the proposed rule incorporate "many decisions issued in the past 15 years by the Government Accountability Office and the Court of Federal Claims," according to the department. The rule is to consist of tighter requirements and uniform guidance, under the Weapons System Acquisition Reform Act of 2009.
