Non-impairing cocaine

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Court of Appeals upheld the conviction of a man for homicide by operating a motor vehicle under the influence after he was found to have a small amount of an inactive cocaine metabolite in his bloodstream, but no cocaine per se. The conviction adheres to precedent upholding a strict, zero-tolerance approach to prosecuting impaired driving.
