No sanctions for Sidney Powell

DALLAS — A Texas appeals court upheld the trial court’s decision to grant attorney Sidney Powell’s no-evidence motion for summary judgment in a disciplinary proceeding, in which the Commission for Lawyer Discipline claimed Powell had violated rules of conduct by allegedly filing two exhibits without their dates in a Georgia election lawsuit. The commission’s arguments are meritless, the appellate panel ruled.
