WASHINGTON (CN) - Mercer County, N.D. has requested to have its time zone changed from mountain to central standard, again.
The last request spurred much controversy among the county's residents, and the Department of Transportation, which handles such petitions, denied it in 2003.
The department plans to grant the current request, which is based primarily on commercial contacts with other counties, and seeks public comment.
