CLEVELAND (CN) - In the latest school-related MySpace complaint to land in Federal Court, parents of a 13-year-old student at Hillside Middle School sued the Parma City School District Board of Education for expelling their son because he created a lewd MySpace page using a picture of his principal. The parents claim that because the boy created the MySpace page on their home computer during non-school hours, the expulsion violates his 1st Amendment rights and their own 14th Amendment rights to determine how to discipline their child for matters that occurred at home, not on school grounds.
