Minister Says ABC Defamed Him on “20/20”

MANHATTAN (CN) – Frederick Price, minister and founder of the Crenshaw Christian Center East, claims ABC TV defamed him on “20/20” by broadcasting his boast of great wealth while omitting the caveat that “people can feel spiritually unfulfilled” despite wealth.

The suit, filed in the Southern District of New York, also names broadcaster John Stossel as a defendant.  Price says he was “discussing hypothetically, in the first person singular, how people can have great wealth.” Price’s federal claim states that his point was that “such people can feel spiritually unfulfilled despite their great wealth,” but ABC omitted that part.
