Dr. David W. Brown claims Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals owes him money for suggesting that its Mirapex drug might be used to treat people for Tourette syndrome, in Austin Federal Court.

The new use could extend Boehringer's soon-to-expire patent on the drug used for restless-leg syndrome, Brown says, and he deserves some of the $380 million a year the drug brings in if it does.
